New show of paintings by Brendon Farley
By Jeff Zeitler on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020
Talented Longfellow artist Brendon Farley is exhibiting this February at Urban Forage.
Brandon paints our (almost monochromatic in the winter) neighborhood of South Minneapolis with a brilliant range of color. His painting makes everything– alleys, garbage cans, empty soccer fields, snowy streets; beautiful, even romantic, capturing the late twilight winter sky, the glow of streetlamps and the little pools of light they form in snowy alleys. It reminds me of everything I love about winter in this city.
Of course, I don’t love everything about winter here, but it’s nice to see the best of it captured on canvas. Come see it for yourself on Valentines Day, or any day this February. It’s only a one month show though- so don’t wait til March!
