Nothing says ‘I love you’ more than

bluegrass music.  Or maybe old-time.

And you thought it was all tinfoil hearts and paper cutouts of Cupid. Or stuffed animals and carefully curated boxes of chocolate from a place that’s a half notch above a dollar store.

Sure, those are nice, but What Would Bill Monroe Do? I’ll tell you what he’d do. He’d take his sweetheart to see the Pickleback Prowlers on Valentine’s Day. That’s what he’d do.

And so can you. 7:00 PM on Friday February 14th. Put it on your calendar right now.

As a bonus, we’ll have wine on hand (as always) and will light candles, so each table has a little extra romantic rizz.

Also, we have cider, in flights or by the glass. Your sweetie will love it. Come here after a nice dinner and it’ll be a night to remember.

Ah, but there are other nights to celebrate as well. Say, trivia night! Tonight we have Geography trivia- a topic we haven’t done in years, but which is back by request of the trivia mavens who showed up a month or so ago. Hopefully we’ll see them again tonight. Or- if it’s quiet- nobody else comes for trivia- and you show up by yourself- you win!

Hopefully, for our sake, it’ll be busy. Here’s what trivia looks like for the next few weeks:

February 6: Geography

February 13: RomCom trivia for Valentines Day

February 20: The Office

February 27: Harry Potter

March 6: Friends

(Yes, there is RomCom trivia also for V-day, but it’s on the 13th. You can come both days if you like!)

Our music schedule continues to be busy. The next few weeks feature:

February 7: Zola Rosenfeld & Charlie

February 14: The Pickleback Prowlers

February 21: The PhilBillies

February 28: Tim Fast

March 7: Matthew Hope

Come check out Zola and Charlie this Friday, by the way. This will be their first time at Urban Forage, and they promise to be fresh and fun. The cover charge is $0, so even if they aren’t, you’re just out two hours and a drink. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself.

On tap this week? Semisweet mead, Winter spice cider, Honey toast cider, Dry cider and Pear cider. Cherry cream soda is still on tap as our NA beverage as well. It’s all good in this hood in February and we’ll greet you with a smile when you walk in the door.

Cheers,

Jeff and Gita Z.
